Donaghadee RFC are delighted to announce that Chris Good (pictured centre) has been appointed as Club Director of Rugby for the season 2014/15. Chris (or Goody as he is universally known) joined the club some six years ago from Instonians RFC for whom he played tight-head prop for the 1st XV in the AIL for many years. Goody was educated at RBAI and played in the successful Ireland U19 squad of which, amongst other luminaries, Brian O'Driscoll was a member. Since coming to the Dee he has captained the Club for two seasons and has been an invaluable member of the 1st XV squad which won promotion from Q2 and has enjoyed subsequent success in Q1, All Ireland Junior, Ulster Junior and Ulster Towns Cups. Outgoing Director of Rugby Jim Lyttle stated "The Club is absolutely delighted that Chris has agreed to take over the position of Director of Rugby at the Dee. As a player and captain he has been central to our success on the field of play over recent years leading from the front with skill, aggression and quiet authority. We are in no doubt that Goody will bring those leadership qualities to bear in his new role to allow us to not only consolidate where we are at the moment but improve at all levels on the playing side of the Club. We wish Goody every success in the role and would like to take the opportunity to assure him of the continuing support of Donaghadee RFC Club Council, players, coaching staff, members and supporters alike".
